Service Committee

Rotary's motto is Service Above Self. Our Service Committee helps the Twin Cities Rotaract Club live this motto to the fullest.
Join the Service Committee if you are interested in planning service events or working with non-profit partners on strategic partnerships!
Service Chair
Our goal is to participate in at least one service event each month, scheduled by the Service Chair. The organizations we support range from the Cookie Cart and Ronald McDonald House, to helping at a Rotary Club's fundraiser, or creating our own "Happiness Kits" for the homeless in our community.
Partnering Non-Profit Chair
Every year our members select a non-profit to work with on a project , and apply for a grant from Rotary District 5960 to help with funds. See our Partnering Non-Profit page for some of our previous affiliations.
If you are interested in helping with non-profit relations, please reach out to the Partnering Non-Profit Chair by emailing tcrotaract@gmail.com.
Grant Chair
Our grant chair is responsible for working with the District Grant Committee Mentor and the Partnering Non-Profit Chair to write a grant to request funds from the Rotary Foundation. We submit a grant to both our district and the Rotary Foundation to help our partnering non-profit carry out their mission in our community.
Our grant has to fall within one of the Areas of Focus for the year:
1. Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
2. Disease prevention and treatment
3. Water and sanitation
4. Maternal and child health
5. Basic education and literacy
6. Economic and community development
